Getting through the first week after a truck rental move can be tough. Find out how to ease the transition during the first week at your new place.
Moving to a different home can easily turn your whole world upside down. Where just a few days before your truck rental move you have everything at your fingertips, that's no longer the case as you open the door to your new place. Now, instead of having a stove to cook in, dishes to eat on, and a huge wardrobe to choose from, you're sitting in your new home that is completely empty. And unpacking all of the boxes and setting up all of your appliances could take days. To ease the pain of the transition, we've listed some suggestions that can help you get through the first week after your truck rental move.
Pack up essential boxes
Since you won't have access to all of your belongings after your truck rental vehicle arrives at your new place, you'll have to compromise. And that compromise means packing up a few essential boxes that have your most needed items. For example, you might want to pack up a week's worth of clothing for each family member, and then label those boxes as "Essential clothes." You'll also want a small box of must-have toiletry items and a box of kitchen items, including paper plates and silverware. Again, make sure to clearly mark the boxes appropriately before loading them up into the truck rental vehicle. Mark the boxes with the description such as "toiletries," and the word "Essentials."
Packing the "essentials" into the truck rental
Just as important as packing up those must-have items together in a few boxes is the placement of those boxes in the truck rental vehicle. Load these special boxes towards the back of the truck rental vehicle, which allows to unpack them first when you arrive at your new place. That way you can have access to your most vital items even if you don't wish to unload the entire contents of your truck rental on the first day of your arrival. You also won't need to scour frantically through your boxes to find those important items. In other words, your stress level during your move can be greatly reduced.
