According to U.S. Bureau statistics, there are a number of miscellaneous reasons for truck rental and other types of moves. Attending or leaving college and health reasons are just a few of the miscellaneous reasons for moving.
There are many reasons for moving into a new house or an apartment. As the study conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau shows, the majority of people move, via a truck rental or other type of move, because of family reasons, work-related reasons or housing issues. However, there are a significant number of people (7.9%) who move due to miscellaneous reasons, as noted below.
Attending /leaving college
Every year, hundreds of thousands of young adults move into college dorms, fraternity/sorority houses or apartments. Usually, they rent a vehicle for a truck rental move or they put their limited belongings in their car or their parent's car. And it's not uncommon to move three or four times during college due to roommate issues, financial limitations, etc. Leaving college (i.e. due to graduation) is another reason for a truck rental or other type of move, especially if that person was living in a school dorm or fraternity/sorority. Together (college attendance and leaving college) constitute 3.1% of the reason why people move overall.
Change of climate
A change of climate constituted one of the reasons for a truck rental, full-service or any other type of move for .5% of the time. For instance, those who do not enjoy the cold and humidity might decide to move from the East Coast of the States to a more moderate climate on the West Coast. For instance, if a person is tired of shoveling snow from their driveway each and every winter, they might decide on a truck rental or full-service move to a warmer climate. On the other hand, a person in the southwest might decide to move because of the lack of seasons.
Health reasons
Health reasons constitute 1.6% of the total reasons for moving. Let's say that you have a bad allergy to the pollen in the area. If it becomes unbearable, you might decide to move. Or if you suffer from arthritis, you might decide on a truck rental move so that you can live in a warmer and less humid place throughout the year.
Other reasons
Other miscellaneous reasons constitute 2.6% of the reasons for people making moves.
